You have made the decision to use Cryobank services. Here what comes next:

• You will contact us and we will answer all questions disturbing you and raising your interest. At the time convenient for you we will invite you for registration and signing the agreement.
• We will inform the medical facility where you are going to give birth of planned blood collection. In advance before the putative delivery our employee brings the set for collection and transportation of umbilical cord blood.
• After birth and separation of the child from the cord a doctor obstetrician-gynecologist takes umbilical cord blood that will be delivered to the Cryobank specialized laboratory.
• Separated suspension of stem cells will be poured out to cryoampules (4.5 ml), frozen with a special program and transferred to cryodepository where it will be stored in liquid nitrogen at the temperature -196°С. Every sample of umbilical cord blood has its own marking that is recorded in a certificate together with blood characteristics (blood group, rhesus-factor, amount of cells prepared and mononuclei content).
• The parents will receive a certificate on storage of umbilical cord blood and placenta where quantitative and qualitative characteristics of cell suspension, results of virologic and bacteriological controls are recorded. Besides cryoampules with umbilical cord blood, 4 satellite ampoules (1 ml) are stored that can be used for HLA-typing, genetic control, viability testing and cultivation.
• If it will be necessary to check the umbilical cord blood by any characteristic by parents’ request, satellite will be seized from Cryobank and transferred to independent laboratory for expertise.
