Systematized information on morpho-functional characteristics of stem cells is presented in the monograph. Analysis of possible mechanisms that explain positive cell effects in different pathological states of organism is given. The aim of monograph is to brief on authors’ experience and modern scientific concepts in medicine, biology and cryobiology immediately connected with cellular or regenerative therapy. Clinical trials were performed in medical facilities of Kiev, Lvov, and Kharkov starting from 1986 till 1991. Based on results of clinical trials, the Ministry of Health of Ukraine approved methodical instructions and technological regulations of embryonic liver hemopoietic cell biopreparations’ production for clinical application. Book is intended for a wide circle of readers.

Systematized scientific information on embryogenesis and morpho-functional characteristics of stem embryonic hemapoietic cells and also authors’ research and summarized experience in application of cryoconserved stem embryonic hemapoietic cells in clinical practice are presented in the first part of the monography. Possible mechanisms have been analyzed explaining positive cells effects in different pathological states of organism. Second part of the monography will be dedicated to stem hemapoietic cells of peripheral and cord blood. Book is intended for biologists, doctors and specialists working in cryobiology and cryomedicine areas.
